Mike Johnson Gathers Far-Right Christians to Cast Out Demons
Rolling Stone ^ | February 6 2024 | Tim Dickenson

Posted on 02/06/2024 11:12:50 AM PST by tired&retired

GOP lawmakers and extremist pastors joined together to repent over LGBTQ freedoms, abortion, and nonbelievers

NATIONAL GATHERING FOR PRAYER AND REPENTANCE House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) and two dozen members of Congress assembled at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C., last week for the second-annual National Gathering for Prayer and Repentance. The event was chock-a-block with Christian nationalist pastors and featured a clarion call for spiritual warfare, with members of Congress beseeching fellow Christians to “tie the hands of Satan” and to “bind the demonic forces” that are supposedly possessing America.

(And the libtards howled like demons)

At least 2,000 demons cried out:

Matthew 8:28-29
21st Century King James Version

28 And when He had come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met Him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceedingly fierce, so that no man might pass by that way.

29 And behold, they cried out, saying, “What have we to do with Thee, Jesus, Thou Son of God? Art Thou come hither to torment us before the time?”

(there were about 2,000 pigs 🐖🐖🐖)

Mark 5:13
21st Century King James Version

13 And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out and entered into the swine; and the herd ran violently down a steep place and into the sea (they were about two thousand), and were choked in the sea.

It’s a leftist freak out over Christian article but good to know this is happening in our government.

God aways has a remnant and they need our prayers.

While I do appreciate the Speaker's belief in Christ, I do get a little concerned when people start talking about tying and binding as regard to Satan and demons.

We don't see that kind of approach in Scripture. We are to resist the enemy for sure.

How much difference is there between a person from the right and one from the extreme right?... Could it be that anyone who is not from the left already falls into the category of extremist?

He’ll end up getting rid of 3/4 of his Republican colleagues if he does that.

Replace them with more Mike Johnson's - a gem in a swamp - and we would be having victories.

Mike Johnson and G-d whatever will Mike Johnson stop wastefully spending money I think that matters a lot more than the drama over Religion.

Johnson is also on the right tract regarding money, if that is all the matters. Those who are not sufficient controlled from within must be controlled from without.

Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions. (Galatians 3:19)

For the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof: but by a man of understanding and knowledge the state thereof shall be prolonged. (Proverbs 28:2)
Robert Winthrop (May 12, 1809 – November 16, 1894), and Speaker of the House from 1838 to 1840, and later president of the Massachusetts Bible Society, explained that, “All societies of men must be governed in some way or other. The less they may have of stringent State Government, the more they must have of individual self-government. The less they rely on public law or physical force, the more they must rely on private moral restraint. Men, in a word, must necessarily be controlled, either by a power within them, or by a power without them; either by the Word of God, or by the strong arm of man; either by the Bible, or by the bayonet. It may do for other countries and other governments to talk about the State supporting religion. Here, under our own free institutions, it is Religion which must support the State." (Speech to the Massachusetts Bible Society (1849-05-28), quoted in Robert Winthrop, Addresses and Speeches on Various Occasions, Little, Brown & Co., 1852, p. 172)

Every choice you make is a result of what you truly believe - at least at the moment. We have large government due to less and less people )public and government) being controlled from within by God and conscience, and which results in costs of lives, souls and money.

Often, it is far better to choose evil and learn from our errors, and then turn to God in humility and seek redemption, just as the prodigal son did.

Remember, the vineyard workers that arrived in the last hour got the same pay.

Saul becoming Paul is an excellent example of this.

🙏

Galatians 5:

“4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

And Galatians 5:18

“18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.”

Again

4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

That does not mean that we do not follow the laws, but we follow out of Love, not fear of consequences if we break it.

No, not by any means. Because the evil we choose does not affect only us. It virtually always damages or destroys other lives as well and that can have eternal consequences.

It also leads to a great deal of regret and remorse for those consequences.

I would far rather have not sinned and hurt another than think it was better for me to have sinned. I can learn without sucking others into the maelstrom of destruction my life left in its wake.

Adam and Eve could have learned about good an d evil another way, God's way, than destroying the whole human race with their one decision to choose that sin.

You are one twisted individual.

According to the left, yes.

We bought something from a guy in VT once and got to talking politics. Turned out he was conservative, but he had to deal with the Vermonters calling him a right winger and the Granite Staters calling him a leftist.

He couldn't win in either VT or NH.

And claiming it’s far better to choose evil then repent reveals exactly what about a person? And you think it’s better to have hurt someone than never have hurt them?

Who knows what level of choice pushes someone to the point of beyond repentance by hardening their heart, like happened with pharaoh? And here you are, encouraging someone to do so by claiming that it can be far better to choose evil and sin than not.

I can learn what I need to know from God without destroying my life and the lives of others in the process. There is NO lesson anyone needs to learn from their mistakes that justifies choosing evil.

Your advice is evil and is from the evil one and is NOT the fruit of a redeemed heart.

No, don’t choose evil. We can learn enough from the prodigal son, and others, that we don’t need to choose evil, so, I don’t agree with your opinion on that.
