That’s… odd… I thought the union supported the Texas national guard… unless this announcement is from the union leadership and not the rank and file.

He’s the acting chief. That’s not the rank and file. He takes his orders from the DHS Secretary.
My guess is the bill includes pay/benefits raises for the Border Patrol union members. Public employees should not be unionized, and their “interested” opinion means nothing (well, it actually conforms the bill is garbage in this case).
More union jobs. Always for numbers.
The ranking file are collecting bribes to bring people over.
