This has been common knowledge for quite a while.
Inadvertently, most people will put higher ‘value’ onto a good looking person, vs someone with an average or unappealing face.

Even in the event of death;
one may read an article about someone who was killed while riding a NYC subway, if the victim’s photo shows a face that was uncommonly handsome or ‘Top 10 Gorgeous’, the reader will think “Oh, how sad, and she looked so beautiful, with her pleasant smile, hair all done up and wearing that tailored pantsuit! ....etc, etc,..as though the loss is now greater b/c ‘she looked good’. We can’t help it. People do profile and evaluate.

You’d think it would be obvious

My folks were exceptionally good looking people with horrific money management skills

What I inherited genetically opened a lot of doors for me that would have been closed otherwise
