In the latest issue of Billboard, Swift offered a peek into her business acumen, sharing some advice for anyone looking to follow in her trailblazing path. “The piece of advice I would give to the other executives on this list is that the best ideas are usually ones without industry precedent,” Swift told Billboard. “The biggest crossroads moments of my career came down to sticking to my instincts when my ideas were looked at with skepticism. When someone says to me, ‘But that has never been done successfully before,’ it fires me up. We have to take strategic risks every day in this industry, but every once in a while, you have to really trust your gut and take a flying leap. My rerecordings are my favorite example of this, and I’m extremely grateful to my team and fans for taking that leap with me because it absolutely changed my life.”

Not necessarily at all, unless there is someone in your life such as a young daughter who puts your radio on whatever it is they listen to.
“”Ok-OK-OK, will someone post a link to a song of hers that I may recognize so that I can know what she is about?””
No No No - PASS....
OK - go ahead so we can get a fresh opinion...You be sure to let us know if you can recognize one word she sings!
Good song. As a youth(20+ years ago) I remember the U.S. Army recruiting commercials would always play “Rock you like a hurricane.” I always thought this would have been a better recruitment song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKyA3x_yh9A
All I know about her is she’s a (natural??) blonde and is sleeping with an NFL player. And she sings.
She’s actually quite Trumpian in her character in many ways, and very much American in her spirit.
My niece is a big swifty. I have no clue about any of Taylor’s music nor do I care. She has a hell of a fan base, but I am not interested in that kind of music. I will stick with Willie and ZZ Top.
Selling your soul to Satan can do things like that
Taylor performing live with Madonna (nicely)

The thing with the NFL players is all publicity stunt. They had contacted a supermodel, wanting her to date a football player. she agreed but backed out at the last minute. They had it all planned out where they would go and made sure to paparazzi were there to take pictures
“”Yeh I know...just don’t care for the exploiting...He is a hunk””
As a female (old one at that), I have to agree with you but I dislike the way he appears to be a “puppy dog” around her...I would like to have someone show us what other professional athlete - be it baseball, basketball, football who has ever made a gesture during a game toward a girlfriend/admirer even a spouse. Not even Joe Namath in his best days...
I don’t think she should “tone” down the lipstick so much. More is better, isn’t it? YUCK!
I know this is going to be called “catty” from a previous thread..
“”wouldn’t I recognize even one of her tunes?””
You’ll be lucky if you recognize any words!!!!
Why does anyone who’s into conservative politics care?
FReepers have long memories!
I did prefer Madonna’s singing in Evita, her version of Don’t Cry For Me Argentina is my favorite for the song.

Beats me - but we speak up about things that amuse or irritate us regardless of political values...this is one of those!!
Gee... I wonder why...

There’s a guy whose pulp is floating around down by the Titanic with the same idea.
Of course she’s just temporizing, saying crap that sounds good. You know “you go boss girl”! Swift is a screaming success because she’s got Pop talent coming out of every pore. However there are, long before she came along, plenty of examples of talented performers taking control of the business. end Lucille Ball for starters. I’ve heard Swift strum an acoustic and sing into her phone and was gobsmacked at how strong and flat out musical the result was. That and the fact that she’s not a moron is why she’s a billionaire. The path that she merely had to follow was blazed seventy years ago and many times since.
“There’s no accounting for taste” is a shop-worn phrase because it is true.
I hope she repents and turns to Jesus before it’s too late.
