That’s nice! My Civil War history courses taught by people and books written by people that i’ve read on the diplomancy of that era disagree. I’ll go with the humans!

When I went to school, my teachers were WW2 Vets.

They were proficient in the subjects they taught; Science, English, Geography, Biology, Civics, Chemistry, Math, etc.

When it came to History...No social justice, no critical race theory, no revisionist history, we got it straight.

And they didn’t put up with any crap.

I am not knowledgeable enough on the topic to have a strong opinion on it, although I do enjoy reading the oldest of history books that might predate some of the history revision of events and some of the history books written in the 1920s seem to reflect that view point as well.
I am definitely open to new information on the topic though
