The third vessel is a tiny bowl within a bowl, 6 centimeters (2.3 inches) in height. There is a tiny hole in the side of the interior bowl. One could imagine a liquid painfully creeping between the inner and outer bowls, but for what putative purpose is anybody's guess. A tiny water clock, say for use as an egg timer?
