"White and pale is stale." The thesis is certainly being tested, isn't it? I don't recall ever checking a movie's cast and directors for race or ethnicity before seeing a movie and I doubt much of that ever went on. The Wokies are now proudly broadcasting both, with the distinct implication that if you do anything but pour money and prizes into their pockets as a result, you're a racist bigot. So is it working? Um...nope. Intelligent people trying this ploy would drop it and try another. Wokies double down.

The threadbare trope offered is all this is done in order to appeal to "Today's Audience". Looks like the verdict from today's actual audience is in, and it isn't good.

“White” is still a majority of the U.S. population, and we’re over 70 percent white if we count white hispanics.

Jews are now rebranded as white (as opposed to the old idea that they were a Semitic people, and in contrast to all other peoples from the Levant, who are POCs in Wokestan).

People of East Asian descent are now suspect as white adjacent. They will soon be joined by people of South Asian descent, who after all tend to study hard, do well on standardized testing, work hard and grok math, which are all indicators of “whiteness” in Wokestan.

Male will always be approximately half of the population.

Pale and male pretty much built the film industry, at least in the U.S. and Europe where it all began. Which is of course the point: DEI is about expropriation, not inclusion.

If we played identity politics the way the left does, you would have to be pale and male to participate, since it would be cultural appropriation for anyone else to get into the game.
