self-flagellation - another ritual that Islam matches... or vice-verse
i live about 40 miles west of downtown Chicago (This area has been somewhat temperate for the last 25 years or so. The weather we used to get is now on the east side of lake michigan,)
and the course is about the same distance from chicago but south of me. my ride is 19 miles.
We played the course tees 2 in from the tips about 6000 yards. (tips play at 6800+ i usually play one in about 6500). depends on the course.
I’ll probably play 2 in or the senior tees from now on.
keep hittin ‘em hard...they’ll come down somewhere.

A friend is travelling for a business convention and her husband can’t or doesn’t want to go so I’m often her “plus one” on those occasions. I get free accommodations at a very nice hotel, some free corporate meals, and one free round of golf in the corporate golf event. I pay for my flight, the extra golf rounds and any umbrella drinks outside the corporate events. The sun is free too π
