So it’s a tie vote 215 215.
Those 3 “repubs” that voted “nay” need some serious arm twisting/freeping/red-pilling.
One justification for voting 'No' on impeachment was that impeaching Mayorkas would not change what is going on at the border - and the Senate would not vote to remove him from office. While that is likely true, it grossly misses the point.
Mayorkas has committed crimes for sure. Mayorkas has lied repeatedly while illegal excesses continue to rage. If Mayorkas would testify about who gave him his orders, some clemency might be worked out - but provide evidence against someone higher up the chain that could be the new point of focus.
Barring any cooperation by Mayorkas, a message can be established that the American people will not tolerate wanton contempt for the law and repeated obvious perjuries flung in the face of the 'boss' - the people.
OTOH, I have surmised that Mayorkas is not a pawn, a workman with his head down plodding along following orders. Indeed, when I repeatedly see the individual confidently lying while looking defiantly down his nose at us inferior beings, I see a powerful globalist player, a leader who knows he is above the law. He is possibly more powerful than the POTUS. I have posted before that Mayorkas will likely escape any consequences for his 'crimes'.
That raises the suspicion that the fix is in - and naturally the monolithic autocratic lying Dem Party will unanimously defend Mayorkas with every deception that they can concoct. So, then, what about these Republicans who can so easily break ranks?
What about the Republicans? Hmmmm❓ The head of the Department of Homeland Security is openly allowing criminals, diseased and terrorist invaders to 'Come on in!' with no questions, no vetting, no restrictions - not even any records. Is that security or is that treason❓
How odd that the Republicans cannot rally around that clarion call❗
