RE: 2017 solar eclipse

Although our area only had a partial eclipse, school was in session here. Our principal purchased eclipse-viewing glasses which were distributed to students, faculty, and staff. Teachers were asked to teach a mini-lesson prior to the eclipse, and each of us was assigned groups of 15 or so students to go outside with for the before, during, and after viewing. It was one of those “fun” learning days that school kids don’t get much of anymore what with all the test score focus. My students and I had a blast, taking in all the different shadows and enjoying the moment.💓

I have a friend that teaches third grade. They’re stoked about the eclipse at school.
