Yes, exactly. i have noticed that the time to appointment is lengthening since the Obamacare was implemented. Year after year. The time to get the prescription is getting longer too.
The cost of insurance have increased through.
We were always laughing on Canadians and Britons, but we are getting there too!
I think, the problem (among others) is actually the “free” healthcare the “needy” are getting.
Since they pay nothing, what prevents them from going to doctor all the time, even if they do not need to?
E.G. the emergency rooms of the hospitals are full of suspiciously looking people, it looks rather scary there. If you go there, expect to wait half a day at the best!

Communist countries, with “free” healthcare for everybody were notorious for terrible healthcare and incredible waiting lines. To get to doctor was exercise of “whom do you know”. Or whom to bribe.

It is getting like this here.

My wife gave up on getting her hearing test at our PPO and she will be seeing an outside audiologist recommended by 2 friends. Their earliest appt was at the end of March and their fee is $150 versus $20 if we could have gotten an appt., with our PPO.

Our Rx’s are often delivered the next day or 2 days at a max after we request a refill.

Now, we often get former rxes, now OTC’s at good if not better prices than Amazon.

It took 10 days to get a special eye appt to get Rxes for some special driving glasses.

It took another 10 days to get a special vision test to enable me to read big books with small print while sitting in my Lazy Boy.

We have friends, who are not patients of our hmo and they seem locked in for phone appts. for serious problems.

A church lady at our church is still an active RN, and she encourages these people to get real appts. not just phone B$.

This surge of phone appts. seems to be happening across America in our post Covid world for those of us in our late 70’s to our 80’s.
