I barely remember.
In the old times, before Obamacare, we usually got a doctor appointment instantly.
Surgery - Tomorrow? Friday? when it is better for you?
After the fundamental transformation
The same surgery appointment -
Monday three months from now? Does not work? Then we have some Tuesday five Months from now!
And it costs a lot more than it used to be!!!

We lost one sister in law due to slow cancer treatment and came close to losing a BIL due to basically not being treated with orthopedic and cardiac issues.
My wife’ hip replacement was delayed about 6 months and impacted her healing time.
Trying to get an audiology appt is basically impossible with our health plan. My wife’s hearing has really deteriorated, and we never hear back from her primary care doc on that
issue.
The outside audiologists seem to be in another world with the now over the counter hearing aids.
Tomorrow, I have an appt with an OD/eye doctor to test and fit me with new reading glasses as the OTCs are not working. It took 4 weeks to get this non emergency visit. I had an OD appt. a few months ago and my eye health was/is good for a few years.
Why does it take longer to get an appointment? Because there are more patients? As to care being more expensive, what isn’t more expensive than 14 years ago?
