Lake City is run by a contractor, and the contract states that whenever there are not U.S. Government ammunition orders to fill, the contractor can use the equipment to make ammunition for commercial sale, and compensate the U.S. Gov't for wear and tear on the machinery.

Because of this secondary way to make money, the contractor charges less to run the Lake City facility.

Banning the contractor from this secondary source of revenue will only increase costs to the U.S. Government, but will not grossly affect ammunition available on the civilian market.

Libs don't care what anything cost the government as long as we plebes are kept in our place and continuously further enslaved.

To these people the government can never run out of other peoples's money. The taxpayer can always produce more money and will be happy to supply it.

Or else!

Remember, this is Lawfare and Weaponization.

Should a court accept the premise that there is "Military Grade Ammunition" that can be denied to civilians, private ammunition manufacturers are just a Leftist Lawsuit away from a court order banning sale of military designated calibers, and a second lawsuit for interchangeable civilian calibers.

No 308 Winchester for you, peon, ... or 223 Winchester, serf.
