Yeah... I agree but there is another cause to consider. With everyone feeling like they need a dog, that can be a big distraction when you have them in your car with you. I see it all the time. Driver looking back at their dog in the back seat or the dog crawling around the front of the car with the driver.

This was the case with my recent accident. The lady that blew a red light AT THE SPEED LIMIT said she was distracted by her dog in the back seat. Ugh. Same thing can be said about little kids too but there have always been little kids in back seats but there seems to be an explosion of people hauling their pets all over creation.
