Btw, that’s kinda hard to miss when every time I see a scene in India, there are 3,000 175cc two strokes per mile.

I’ve been in Pune and Chennai on extended business trips. Actually spent some time getting to know the locals. For what they earn, the amount of space available, and the expense of owning a car, they mostly buy small motorcycles. Usually the biggest on the road is a 175cc. Motorcycles don’t have to pay tolls and just shoot around the plazas. They can refuel on the road from roadside vendors (probably illegal, but common). Park pretty much anywhere. The biggest issues are weather, inaccessibility to the major highways, and passenger capacity. I’ve seem families of 5 on one bike, but 3 to 4 is much more common. For what it’s worth most are Indias middle class and not poor by local standards.
