Unbelievable a court clerk would taint a trial like this.

In this day and age, where the “elites” in government at all levels feel entitled to rule — HIGHLY believable.

That court clerk should be heavily fined and made to spend a long stretch in the state lock-up.
Now taxpayers will have to fund another trial for this obvious murderer.

Not surprised. Colleton county is a very small community where the Murdaughs ran the roost forever. These people are not strangers to each other.

Stuff goes on with juries and court staff. People are very imperfect.

I think she did it intentionally, and at Murdaugh’s direction. To be pulled out later if the verdict didn’t go his way...

The first juror questioned Monday, identified as Juror Z, testified that she was influenced by remarks Hill made prior to the jury rendering its verdict, telling the judge she heard the clerk say to “watch his actions” and “to watch him closely.”Could we start over? Who was the Clerk telling that to, who was she talking about and why would an obscure comment make a difference either way to the juror? This whole accusation seems contrived.

If it was a comment overheard by the juror, the clerk might have been telling a bailiff to watch the judge that was messing with a booger in his nose. "Watch him closely, he keeps picking at his nose."

The fact that jurors could be influenced by the opinion of a court clerk just tells you how dumbed down and stupid people are. The jurors are supposed to be looking at the evidence and deciding from there.

3 jurors have been dismissed in a current trial I’m following. In Connecticut. This country is rotten. Not just government. An oath means nothing. The jurors cannot keep quiet or stay off social media.

Wow the judge is issuing the ruling now. She said Miss Becky was not credible. She found that the jurors served properly. She just said that a new trial is not required.

My money is on Harpootlian to win in the end for a new trial and get Alec acquitted of the murders. This case is a big cost center for the ‘Poot.
