That was during that insane arctic blast. Probably drunk, walked out in the backyard to piss. Find the door locked behind them somehow. Dead/unconscious in 15 minutes or so.
Actually no, it wasn’t during the arctic blast temperatures. When this happened it was in the 30s. Cold though not freeze yer face off cold.
Their cars were still there, if they were locked out of the house, as the cold got unbearable, wouldn’t at least one of them have gone to the car or a neighbor for help. Maybe even broken a window.

Why not climb the wooden fence, knock out some boards, break a window, or kick in the door? I’m not going to just stand out there in the freeze and think gee, we’re locked out, that sucks. I think they went outside and passed out from some counterfeit drug they took.
