For a pleasurable trip through alternate history, imagine if George H.W. Bush had taken a head-on approach to Ross Perot in ‘92 and then defeated Bill Clinton that year - they would have been vanquished back to Arkansas and essentially never heard from again. Wouldn’t that have been nice.
