Also prescient was Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451. He not only predicted censorship to protect people from being offended, but that it would arise through democratic means. And he predicted fake reality TV shows, and some other things.

And Huxley's Brave New World foresaw the destruction of the family unit, attempts to remake human biology, free love, mass drug use, and euthanasia.

Lewis' "That Hideous Strength" has much insight.

It appears to me, we are closer to Brave New World with bits of Orwell's 1984.

Our ruling class seems to be taking Brave New World as the blueprint for the society it desires.
