In a new YouTube video, Van Halen singer David Lee Roth launches a sudden verbal attack on his one-time bandmate, the son of the late Eddie Van Halen

I’m amazed at how good Ron Wood still looks, and he’s been through the wringer a few times himself.
>>>My favorite DLR quote was about the 80s.....”The Music smiled, The clothes smiled, and the people smiled.”>>>
True.....then grunge and the Seattle scene hit. Nirvana and instead of singing about sex drugs and rock n roll in flashy outfits......the scene went to how F’ed up life is and Kurt Cobain in torn jeans and an old sweater. It’s quite a story because they could play the guitar as good.....but a whole different message and look. Interesting to read about.
Rod Stewart and Faces is my GoTo for easy guitar licks. Ronny Wood was awesome back then. I love playing Stay With Me in open G. It’s a g good warm up tune.
>>>He actually was looking pretty good, before the Cancer got him. But the damage was done, unfortunately.>>>
yeah, he got new teeth and gained some weight, styled his hair, etc. Then cancer....tragic.
Roth is “Crazy from the heat”.
I saw VFH on the Fair Warning tour and 1984.
Assless chaps Roth was past his sell by date by the 1984 tour .
Did I mention the keyboards?
They sucked too.
He actually had the Cancer for years, but it went into remission for awhile, before it came back with a vengeance.
I'll see them, again, with Chicago this Summer.
Emerson, Lake and Palmer
Nope. Emerson, Lake and Palmer. Keith Emerson (keyboards) Greg Lake (guitar and vocals) and Carl Palmer (drums).
He’s got those stupid tattoos all over his arms now.
A lot of rumors about that.
saw them 10-15 years ago, when KE was still alive
LOL....yeah. what’s up with that.
Sammy was always great solo.
1980 to 84 was the best time to have seen him.
“Standing Hampton” “Three Lock box” and “Voa” were all decent albums.
Ah.. lol.. didn’t even think of them X^D
Emerson, Lake, and Palmer/Emerson, Lake and Powel..
TY fo the correction ;)
Emerson, Lake, & Palmer
fired shots, please...
I don’t want to know what the point
David is too old to be so dramatic.
Mine was: "Most rock critics like Elvis Costello because most rock critics look like Elvis Costello."
Another classic, to a fan in the audience: "Don't stick your tongue out at me unless you aim to use it!"
And the legendary story of why Roth always put a clause in contracts with concert venues requiring a bowl of M&M's to be placed in Van Halen's dressing room with all of the brown ones removed: critics thought that was a typical example of rock royalty excess, but the real reason was that if he found brown M&M's in the bowl when he arrived he knew the promoter had not read the contract - and he would immediately order a line check of the whole production to make sure everything had actually been set up to the band's specifications.
Not at all the dumb character he often played on stage. :)
