Jim, do you not see that a lot of us fully and energetically supported Trump in 2016 (with lots of initially hostility from Cruz supporters), then again in 2020. We are conservative and Trump is not. We've pushed back and encouraged Trump to do more, questioned his wobbly views at times, all in the spirit of what makes FR great. That we chose differently this year doesn't negate our conservative values, which I think you clearly hold as well. We just wanted a different standard bearor, less drama, more long-term wins, not fleeting EOs. Well, I suspect we'll see a lot of butthurt today as Trump will very likely being doing a complete 180 on DeSantis, singing his praises. Can the Trump supporters keep up?

By the way, where do conservative views fit nowadays? Do they get set aside and ignored when inconvenient? Is it now wrong to support, encourage, even demand them when a candidate doesn't step up sufficiently? If Trump is to be the nominee, don't we have a responsibility to speak up or are we to just quietly go along for the ride?

With Trump it’s not personal, he just wants to win. Now that DeSantis is out, as Trump said, it’s all water under the bridge.
