A much simpler time and great music, Aerosmith did a cover of Remember(walking in the sand)

RIP.

Only 75? Wow, I figured the people in those groups as much older. I see she was 15 when she joined the group. That’s amazing.

LOL...watch this YT vid of "Leader of the Pack." I cued it up to the arrival of the motorcycle.

If this is the "Leader," I'd hate to see the rest of his pack. Cub Scout pack, maybe.

I remember seeing her on I’ve Got a Secret in 1964 when I was a Freshman in HS. The TV was B&W but I fell in love as she was beautiful and we were both about the same age...

They had three big international hits. Here was the third one, which hit #6 in the US:

"I Can Never Go Home Anymore" (1965)

If you do not know this one, you are in for a treat.

Classic line from Leader of the Pack.”He’s bad, but he’s not evil.”
Wish I could say the same for Joe Biden.

In loving memory of Mary Weiss, I present the greatest parody song ever: “Leader of the Laundromat” by the Detergents.

The Shangri-Las were one of the few Top 40 groups to record a pro-Vietnam War song.

A much simpler time and great music

Yep, right before everything started to change, and not for the better.
