suspends allow you act as if you have not suspended...you can raise money, hire and fire, pay expenses out of campaign funds, use campaign funds for other purposes...

Barnes is as regular as anyone for coming and going, so in regard to his proximity to the mouth of the lion, I thought possibly Robert was designated to raise a trial balloon for his bet.
Barnes bets on Dr. Ben Carson, former Secretary/Director of Housing and Urban Development, Trump Administration.
No question of his Truth, Honesty and Loyal with Trump. They have shared regard and understanding, ever since Carson was politically roughed up by Cruz shenanigans, in Iowa, during the Republican primary. Cruz won that winter primary, in 2017.
Carson demurred from his campaign shortly thereafter, and Trump defended the ill treated Carson mightily, using the details of the dirty tricks against Carson, by Cruz, all the way to the convention.
Trump was SPOT ON.
At some State Conventions an open Trump supporter could not get nominated to attend the Republican National Convention. At the Texas State Convention, whole districts openly denied nominations to known Trump supporters as delegates to National. I should know. I was one.
This is also how I came face to face with understanding that otherwise good and humble Christian people can break rules, defy policy, to become zealous, tyrants, shrews and Lords, in the name of God and Country, just as quickly and corruptly as any leftist operative on his/her fanatical mission.
In the south, Cruz won on his man-of-God platform and church visits. So, if you were For Trump, you weren’t for God.

ever darkened the door of any church or was seen carrying a Bible, in Texas or elsewhere.🤔 Yes, I think Cruz knows and regrets how he was exposed as unconscionable his ambition drove him to become.
Probably, only Trump could have outgunned him, but even that I believe was by the grace of God.
I believe "suspending" their campaign allows them to continue raising and spending campaign money.
They can use the money for future campaigns, or at some point, retire from politics, and convert the money to personal use.
