A Cadillac dealer acquaintance says that GM loses $50K per EV sold. The double shame of this is rich people who can afford an EV are subsidized to the tune of $50K, and the regular folks see some fraction of that $50K added to the cars that they buy.
EVs wouldn’t even be manufactured if it weren’t for government mandates trying to create a market out of thin air.
