Donald Trump should ask the following direct question to Nikki Haley, directly or via the mainstream media, and insist on a direct answer to this question: "Are you now or have you ever been at or by your birth a Citizen of two or more countries? And if so, which countries?" She must answer that question specifically and fully to the public via the mainstream media so the American electorate can know all the facts regarding dual-citizenship and dual-allegiance required by law for dual-citizens.The answer to that question is a national security concern when one is considering who can be the Commander in Chief of our military. We do not need another President and Commander in Chief born with dual-citizenship and allegiances, and thus divided loyalties. Look what Obama did to this country already and him and "Team Obama" is still doing in his 3rd term, i.e., as Biden's puppet-master. It's a case of full transparency needs to be demanded of those seeking the highest national office(s) so American electorate does not repeat the same errors all over again, i.e., like they did with Obama and Harris due to that question not directly asked and the ramifications of the answer not being fully discussed in the mainstream media and/or in the national debates. See this article for more on the importance of transparency when it comes to national security concerns in today's USA, especially for those seeking high political office: https://cdrkerchner.wordpress.com/2023/05/07/transparency-requirements-for-candidates-for-president-and-vice-president-more-is-needed-in-our-modern-electoral-process-filing-the-oge-financial-disclosure-form-278e-is-mandatory-the-opm-na/

Here we go again. :)
I think this is a dead issue. I agree with your position, but the courts are idiots and do not care what the truth is.
Discussing this topic will have no real world impact.
They are going to do it anyway.

So funny to see Trump, Trump supporters, and the media first use Ramaswamy, then Haley to wedge out DeSantis, then as she is poised to beat Trump in New Hampshire because of open voting by non-Republicans, they now raise the obvious issue many of us have raised since day one, Ramaswamy and Haley are not eligible. Guess everyone is now done with useful tool Haley, so time to dump her quickly. Consider even Gov Sununu trashed her earlier today after saying she could win, having endorsed, now says she could never win, maybe could manage second place in New Hampshire, etc. So transparent.

So where was your constitutional citing, outrage when Bobby Jindal ran in his primary?
Paul Ingrassia is nothing more than a writer who is making his own interpretation of the "Natural Born Citizen" clause in the Constitution.
He ain't going anywhere..........Sheesh!

Tilting at windmills.
Every one of the early presidents was the child of non-citizens so this is just goofy nativism run amuck. Stop wasting time with bad arguments and share good ones (of which there are plenty) for why people shouldn't vote for Neo-con warmonger Nikki.

Whether or not she is eligible is not the correct question. That would have been correct back during the era of the rule of law, but we are beyond that era, into the era of the rule of force.
So the correct question now is: “Even if she is ineligible, who is going to stop her?”

I dislike Nimrata as do most on here, but she was born in South Carolina therefore she is a natural US citizen, her parents birth places mean nothing in this case.

Every one of the early presidents was the child of non-citizens ... And the US Constitution has a special exemption for all such people born before 1776.

If bloggers or FReepers were in charge this might matter, but they’re not.

The courts interpret the law - they don’t declare the truth. They use both common-law precedent and statute to determine what is meant by a natural-born citizen. Their decisions determine what the law is.
If the court rules that you’re a horse, then, for legal purposes, you are a horse.
To: DiogenesLamp
No feasible Supreme Court would take this case. The current court is already about as far “right” as can be achieved, thanks to Trump. It even overturned Roe v Wade. But it wont go here.

I know a child born to American parents would, so I am asking if Niki would?

seeing something else here. camel’s nose under the tent to a foreign-born future “President” being installed by the powers that be under the guise of the new normality Nikki will be introducing...”The constitution doesn’t really mean what the text seems to say about who can be President”.

If the court rules that you’re a horse, then, for legal purposes, you are a horse. I am very aware of this. The Courts are idiots, and like you said, they don't care what the truth is. The only thing they care about is that people do as they say.

But this doesn't make it true.

I misspoke...you are correct.
To: Sacajaweau
It does not... You are kidding, right?
Article 2, Section 1, clause 5.
" No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.
All the early presidents became "citizens" in 1776. Every single one of them.
They were therefore "citizens" at the adoption of the US Constitution. (1789)
