The political party that started the kkk was the demonrats and the party that abolished slavery and gave African Americans the right to vote was the republicans.
But the 1860 Democrats were like Modern Conservatives, and the 1860 Republicans are exactly like Modern Liberals.
The 1860 Republicans even lived in the same places that are Democrat cities now. Places like Boston, New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Washington DC, were all *REPUBLICAN* in 1860, but are now all *DEMOCRAT*.
Same people, just different names.
You know there were three versions of the KKK? The original KKK had more to do with battling the Northen Carpet Baggers than Blacks and it disbanded after Reconstruction in the South ended.
