The only time I had short hair was after my second child was born, and she pulled at my long locks and earrings, which hurt, a lot I got a short cut, hated it, and grew it out as soon as I could.
Obviously, not always a man-hating mentality. Mine was for practical purposes only.

Bottom line, hair was cut for practical reasons. Looking good for the man is second place. He lost out to practical. Not practical.
