Only 2.5% of priests were ever credibly accused or found guilty of molestation over a 50 yr. period, per the NYT in 2002. That investigation involved 100,000 priests, which means 2500 were problem priests with an attraction to young adolescent males 85% of the time, meaning they’re weren’t really pedophiles, they were “gay.” Studies show that 10% of Protestant clergy and 10% of teachers were likewise accused of molesting minors. Do you hold the same animus toward them, or is your outrage selective?
Selective. Catholic priests have done far more damage to Alaska than any other denomination. Catholic priests are also much more likely to be serial predators, leaving behind a much greater number of total victims. And since it's the NYT, I'll take that with a grain of salt.
