I bought my first car the day after my 16^th birthday with my own money.

It was a bright red 1957 VW Beetle. I paid $300 for it. It had a 37 HP engine with a 6v battery under the backseat and over 300K miles on the odometer.

It wasn't much but it was MINE. This one is much nicer but you get the idea.
