Electricity is measured in kw-hrs, not gallons

Yes I know that, but if one does an equivalence between the costs of gas and electricity, "filling up" an EV is equal to $17 a gallon.

That sounds high. Gasoline around here is in the 3 dollar range.

Electric luxury cars make sense to me. The rich don’t care about range because they drive those things on boulevards. They are great to drive and show off to others. The rich don’t care about maintenance costs. For longer distances, they fly.

The rich pay hundreds of thousands for a Rolls Royce. What are they buying?
