That is why Jordan was on a righteous rager for most of 2023 -- knowing the Senate RINOs in particular, along with McCarthy, were leaning hard on impressionable (read: dumb) Congressmen from the GOP hinterlands, that are there solely to be re-elected twice and thus meet the minimum 5-year threshold to vest their pensions.

If anyone should be held to account for incitement to riot it's the Capitol Hill Police. Chucking flash-bangs and firing non-lethal rounds into a crowd might get some people a little riled up.
I wonder who had authority over Capitol Hill Police in January 2021? The question is rhetorical.

Whatever McCarthy was thinking, apparently the damage was the same. Worse if you count the “inflation reduction act.”

I am not sure we will have a definitive answer as to what was going on that day. At one end of the capital, the cops are delivering Rodney King style beatings. At other points in time, security is letting people into the capital and escorting them around.
