Who votes for these idiots?
No reason nor accountability...
Nobody votes for them. They're funded by the UK Government, the National Lottery, and apparently by donors, foundations, and corporations whose names are not revealed on their website.
People "vote" for members of Parliament, who create bureaucracies, which metastasize into multiple faceless departments, which create "institutes", "centers", and "associations" to promote all manner of evils. The politicians use this subterfuge to isolate themselves, in the minds of the voters, from the evil they create. The scam works the same way here in America.
