Lets put some rational to this situation. Yes it is a tragedy this happened. Should never have happened if the world leaders were actually interested in the best interest of their people but they sadly are not. Now for those who are being held. There was a risk going, knowing there was hostilities toward Israel in the region. Did they even weigh the risks? Did they even think before departing the US for the pilgrimage? Did they take precautions and recon the situation before venturing out? I’d bet they never even had a brain fart on the subject. It is their own fault for not taking personal security measures. I do not side with either on this issue. It is not the problem of our government to bail out tourists for their failures and pearls. This is just a distraction from our own problems on the Southern border. Neither side over there have any strategic value to our security. I feel for those people yet would not lift a finger to help because they either knew the risks or were just plain stupid. You don’t stick you finger in a pot of boiling water not expecting to get burned. Lets focus on our nations security before we start meddling in some third world nation who always has a hand out for a freebee and a terrorist group that does the same.
