“We ARE “owed” Social Security, because it’s OURS.”
SCOTUS has repeatedly ruled otherwise.

“SCOTUS has repeatedly ruled otherwise.”
And SCOTUS is now and always had been, above reproach. 🙄
It was ours when it started. And them changing the rules mid-steam doesn’t make it right.
“And them changing the rules mid-steam doesn’t make it right.”
I’m not here to tell you it’s right. I’m here to tell you how it is.

Identity politics. The left want us fractured by generation, race, family, class, and caste.
You see how this works? During a Democrat administration there are a thousand reasons why things suck and they have nothing to do with the Democrat policies. During the Obama administration being unemployed was a great time to reconnect with family and friends. But during any Republican administration the bad news, especially economic, is pointedly personified, as in, this bad thing is happening in “the Trump economy”. Or, we get endless sad-sack man-on-the-street stories about how Trump/Bush/Reagan’s policies are hurting poor women, children, or minorities.
Democrat administration = uncontrollable outside factors with no blame whatsoever.
Republican administration = Trump’s economy, or however else they can personify the perceived problem and lay it at the Republican’s feet.
Sort of like, “Democrats are investigating a number of troubling issues about Trump” vs. “Republican’s Pounce”
Your 11-year-old Grandchildren will be using F-bombs in daily speech.
WW2 wasn’t won by a single generation. The entire society was involved to a greater or lesser degree. I do respect the people who survived the great depression. However what other choice did they have? Either survive it or commit suicide.
This generation or that generation. They are all just arbitrary considerations. The universe doesn’t care.
I posted NOTHING whatsoever about WW II, who won the war, nor anything about what YOU commented on.So just WHAT is your point?
And FYI...WW I and WW II were conscription wars; though yes, many did sign up to fight in one or both.
And just WHAT was that about committing suicide? Nobody was looking at THAT as an option back then, in America!
Why don't YOU try to stick to the thread's topic, instead of going off an some tangent and posting to the wrong person?
“All of these things, from the leftist riots of 1968 to the faith-destroyingVatican II, were the products of the generation before the Boomers…but they were our teachers and we had no defense.”
Yes. The first national election the boomers could vote in was 1968, and that was a sort of a check on the Great Society nonsense, or so we thought. Nixon was supposed to be a conservative, not the big gov RINO he turned out to be.
The Baby Boom generation is aging out. Most of us will not live long enough to even get back what we paid in. Boomers such as myself paid into Social Security and Medicare since the 1960’s. Clinton taxed Social Security and DemocRAT governments have conferred benefits on people who never paid in a dime. When I kick off, any residual monies will go back to the government not my heirs, so that will solve a part of the issue.
Tired of these whiny little losersâ¦
Hit the wrong button
However I wasn’t impolite to you in the slightest. So take your anger issues and shove them up your ass.
Unlike you, I wasn't rude, use improper/guttersnipe language, but stated simple facts.
Obviously, you appear to see what you wish to see/read into my comment a non-exstant emotion, because you are embarrassed by your mistake, which made YOU excessively angry. Pity that....
