That’s all I got. Hope I’m wrong about the 49ers losing to the Ravens. The Niners’ best chance along with doing what they do best is to add...
1) More well-executed play-fake, three-step drop quick passes over the linebackers who have just taken a step forward opening up the middle. I counted two of those plays by the Niners last game against the Seahawks - one netted 15 yards, the other netted a touchdown.
A well-executed play fake to the runner headed for the line of scrimmage that sells the defense makes the LB’s take a step forward. The receiver just passes them by into the open and the quick pass gets the job done.
2) Bosa and the other defensive end (DE) CONTAIN the run. Too many 10-20 yard gains because the DE’s spin to the inside instead of spinning to the outside for containment while rushing the QB.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
The Niners are vulnerable in the center of the D-Line against such a talented team as the Ravens if both Armistead and Hargrave are both out again this week; right now they're both "Questionable".
Cheers!
