Gonna have to respectfully disagree with that my friend.
If gambling on games was about winning and losing straight up yes but it’s not, it’s about point spread, which could possibly be manipulated by a player that needed a particular final score.
Having said that, I wouldn’t be surprised if players gambling on games isn’t far more widespread than we know.....and I doubt it’s limited to just football either.
Agree as well. A fair amount of shenanigans go on towards the ends of already-decided games, during “garbage time”. How much manipulation to beat the spread is happening? Unknown.
Exactly correct! Its not just about ONE player affecting the point spread, but multiple players across the league getting payola from organized crime to give them the “edge”.
