Goes counter to what I’ve read. Myocarditis is just inflammation of the heart tissue. It’s not anything to sneeze at, but it’s usually not fatal in itself. Myocarditis can lead to cardiomyopathy, which is actual damage to the heart tissue, and it’s not reversible.
