Government spending with a percentage understood to be kickbacks in the form of campaign donations to the political sponsors. Taxpayer money being squandered.

In the places, where there is a lot of solar, the energy on the wholesale market, during part of the day, is free or even negative. They pay you to burn energy and they build some energy burning implements, just to get rid of it.
The problem is that the energy is not there when needed the most! Any many of the traditional power plants are very hard to shut down and re-start. So the peak price of energy skyrockets!
That’s now the biggest conundrum. They want to build more solar, but that will just rise the supply when it is not needed! Total waste!
