She's a registered Democrat per today's Long Island Newsday. She's running on the Republican and Conservative ballot but as of today she is a registered Democrat.
"Mike Deery, a spokesman for the Nassau GOP, said Pilip had other stops and appointments and could not answer questions from the news media.
Instead, Nassau Republican Chairman Joseph Cairo took questions from reporters. Asked about Pilip's positions on abortion rights, Cairo deflected. “You'd have to speak to her,” he told Newsday. "Asked whether she'd change her registration to Republican, Cairo noted that former President Ronald Reagan once was a Democrat. “It's irrelevant. Who cares?” Cairo said. “She's the best person for the job.”

New York has been lost since the revolution.Stop!
Don't blame the voters in the district.
This district (my district) just had its 96% MAGA representitive removed by a bunch of out-of-district RINO's and Democrats.

Yes, the Conservative Party nominated her too. I don't know what the point is of being an independent party if they just always nominate the Republican. They missed an opportunity to distinguish themselves here. Don't know what the window is for another party getting on the ballot for the February special election. The Constitution, Patriot, or Libertarians could make a move to nominate Santos and get enough signatures to get him on the ballot. That would be interesting.

Her husband is an Israeli Jew. Maybe the two of them are switching sides because of the Democrat anti-Semitism.

No; just the Uniparty publicly declaring its existence. No more two-party system.

If my congressman were removed like that, I would be working to get him back in office. If you want to return Santos to Congress in the February 13, 2024 special election you need to file a petition as an independent candidate with signatures 5% of the total number of votes from the district in the last gubernatorial race. That needs to be done by December 18th. Good luck.

Santos had a 98.5% voting record and the bastards ousted him and NOW replace him with a DEM!! Tell me again WHY I should continue to vote!!

So voting “Nay” on impeaching Mayorkas and continuing to fund federal agencies gone woke would still tip the scales towards “96% ‘MAGA’”? Number of bills versus impact of bills is the measure, or something else?

Republicans were too self-righteous (and self-loathing) to allow Santos to remain in office. As if they have no corruption. They played right into democrat’s hands.

I was a Democrat when I was young and foolish. Even in 1972, at the age of 18, I knew Democrats were bad people and to never vote for one. I used to hear people say "I vote for the person, not the party." I don't hear that anymore. I think most people now recognize that Democrats are pure evil.

“Registered yes, but she ran for and won a seat in the Nassau County legislature as a Republican. But FReepers prefer jumping to conclusions over spending a few minutes educating themselves, so go on ahead with the blathering.”
Jumping to conclusions and mindless blathering are all too common on FR these days. I do yearn for the days of old when nitwittery was not the coin of the realm here. We used to get elucidation...

So voting “Nay” on impeaching Mayorkas... I believe Santos, Greene and 206 other Republicans voted "Nay" on sending Greene's impeachment resolution to the committees to die.
and continuing to fund federal agencies gone woke...
What roll call?
