SCOTUS is part of DC power structure and they view Joe Biden in need of their of their protection while Donald Trump is a threat to the Deep State.

This will not flip back to normal after Trump: each president will know that there is the possibility that the other party will take control after they have left office. Then paybacks will be a bitch.
No president from here on will want to hand their enemies a sword by making controversial decisions.
