We are about to have three Carrier Strike Groups in the area. Any one of which is more capable than your all of your air power.
The USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN-78) is in the eastern Med. The USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69) is in the Gulf of Aden. And the USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) is in Singapore.
I don't know how Iran thinks they are going to 'close' the Mediterranean Sea but we have some very powerful drain cleaners to open it and keep it open.
