The House of Commons will vote this evening on whether to support the new law on asylum seekers
But Danny Kruger and Miriam Cates say they won't support it - meaning they could abstain, or even vote against
Rishi Sunak has spent the day trying to persuade Conservative MPs in order to avoid a major defeat
This morning, he told the New Conservatives he could "tighten" the bill in order to get their support
The Rwanda plan would send people who arrive in the UK in small boats to the east African country, where they could claim asylum

This could be a major defeat for the gov't on a flagship policy.

below is what I posted on 12/13/2019. Even then I believed Labour would take back power at the next election. All this Rwanda stuff is not going to change that. The Tories should just patiently wait for the inevitable loss of power.

the nice thing about a big majority in the parliament is now there is never going to be a good reason to call an early election.
this will be a full 5 Year government, even if public opinion changes along the way.

If anyone thinks this will be a free and fair election, when it's finally held, note two things: The recent changes to the UK's election law, and the type of voting machines now used in the UK.
There are no voting machines in the UK the population would not stand for it.
You place an X at the ballot and its hand counted by volunteers at the city hall

They wont be using them in national elections I dont think
London now uses electronic voting machines to count votes.
I’m still trying to find out what the rest of England uses.
The UK’s Deep State doesn’t make it easy to find out for some reason.
