Brilliant! I had a so-called "Republican" tell me that there was not a problem with our rapidly rising "public debt" because 1) there were so many important things to accomplish and 2) we only needed to "service" the debt because "we owe it to ourselves.."
I replied that such rapidly rising public debt threatened the nation, and that "we owe it to ourselves" was what Obama said. He wasn't amused. And oddly had no cogent response.
