"A team in China..."

From the country that has been the center of the majority of deadly diseases that have affected the world, and created and released Covid on the world.

I'm 76, been drinking diet caffeine-free Pepsi since 1998, when I was first diagnosed with Type II diabetes. In all those years, I've controlled my diabetes with oral meds only, and my liver enzymes have been consistently normal. The only time they've been out of kilter was last year, when my Endocrinologist/family doctor for all those years changed three of my medications that immediately brought on adverse side-effects. After I stopped taking the meds, it took me 8 weeks to recover. Thankfully he decided to retire last December, and it saved me from having to can his ass. At 76, I've already out-lived everyone else in my family. The majority never made it to 70. They all smoked, I never did. I won't be giving up my caffeine-free Diet Pepsi anytime soon. I believe in quality of life, not quantity.

I get my bloodwork done once every couple months, as I had a liver transplant
2 1/2 years ago. My liver enzymes are normal, and I drink my share of Diet Coke or Pepsi. I’ll continue to drink it, fruit juices, coffee, anything but alcohol.
I feel great (I’m 69). It’s interesting that the Chinese are performing these studies, since they are guilty of oppressing the Uyghurs and robbing them of their organs.

Same here...I drink a LOT of Diet Pepsi. Since it’s mostly water it is a good way to hydrate. It helps me keep my gout in check.
