I’d just as soon see an interview cut short than waste time watching a useless verbal battle. When the signal to noise ratio in an interview reaches the point that unwanted noise obliterates useful information then maybe its time to cut it short rather than subject viewers to a steady stream of intense discord.
But there’s another aspect to this ‘squabble’ that I think you may be overlooking. Don’t forget that the media favors theatrics over content. They love the drama. Its good for ratings don’t you know.
