Incredibly, the DM miss an opportunity right there to reinforce the key message. The author should have written:

"...revealing rows of empty seats at the auditorium where the 26-year-old WOMAN was set to take the stage."

It is utterly SHOCKING the DM missed that opportunity.

How do we know that this alleged person is 26 years old? Even if the alleged person in question was born twenty-six years ago, does that make the aforementioned individual 26 years old? What if the individual identifies as a teenage girl? Would assigning the individual 26 years since birth be an assault upon the alleged person's perceived age? Merely stating that, historically, this person entered the world as a newborn 26 years ago is not at present in harmony with the individual's self-identification, and therefore is Chronolgiphobic!/s
