The 4-team playoff is going to go out with a bang as one team's fanbase is going to go pitchfork. Somehow I made it through the offensively challenged ACC Championship. The Seminoles defense absolutely dominated Louisville. I was watching the game and thinking what a fraud the Cardinals were.

If you took Iowa under 0.5 team total for the first half at even money you won!!!

P.S.: I was watching the SEC Championship game and the broadcast continuously showed a groups of I assume Bama students in the first rows of the end zone with the men in jackets and ties and the women in what appeared to be identical business ware too. They had name tags. Anybody know who they were, some frat and sorority?

Assuming that conference championship games mean something the only 2 that had the best teams in game were the PAC and SEC, the winners of those games need to be in. Top 10 teams played, the other conferences had “also rans”.

That said GA should play TX and Ohio State play Ole Miss on New Years.

It’s really not that difficult.

An unbeaten Power 5 team is in, that’s Michigan, Washington and Florida State.

As for the fourth team, it’s Alabama, Texas or Georgia.

Georgia is eliminated by virtue of not winning their Conference.

And Texas beat Alabama. So it’s Texas.

If a committee decides who is in, it’s not a championship. Obama posted for this farce. The old bowl system was better. The national college champion is not the actual champion. Not if committees get a vote.

I actually think some modern fans get more enjoyment out of griping than they do the actual games.

They don’t realize just what they missed with the old system. Stuffing your face full of food, switching between a couple channels trying to watch 2 games at once, all day football and at the end things have been decided.

It may not have been fair to all teams

It was fun.

We considered playing our rival in a bowl game AS the championship.

This playoff stuff just sucks the fun out of it because everybody is always going to have a gripe.
