It will happen and the vast majority won’t resist.

As a man appoaching his 60s, my question is: will there be any point to living on this world anymore, once the Zoomers and Alphas (ironically named) gleefully and thoughtlessly turn it into Brave New World?

As a 71 year old man, with a great many wonderful children and grandchildren, I find myself feeling sad for the great tragedy I fear is in store for them.

At the same time, I feel a sense of guilt that I’ll be gone by the time the worst of it unfolds, that I will be unable to protect them and - most of all - that I seem to have failed miserably in conveying to them the dangers just around the corner, or in preparing them for battle.

They are intelligent and kind-hearted, but their youthful outlook prevents them from seeing technological advances as a bad thing - it prevents them from seeing globalism as a threat - it prevents them from seeing woke transgender ideology as a threat - it prevents them from seeing open borders as a threat.

They believe humanity is entering a new Age of Enlightenment - they see my fears and warnings as the result of negative and backward thinking from the past. They love me but they think I’m jaded.

I have tried to teach them that tyranny and oppression are the natural state throughout history - that times of liberty and prosperity are rare and to be treasured - and must be fought for.

I have tried to teach them to be suspicious of government - humans naturally compete and use deception to take advantage of one another - it’s human nature - it’s a survival mechanism. Governments do it better than anyone - nothing they promise should be believed or trusted.

My kids do not buy it. Oh well…. I have tried my best.
