Name a more useless GOP senator than John Cornyn.

He tells Wray there is a “perception” of unequal application of the law. Says he appreciates Wray’s attempts to “restore” the credibility of FBI.

Then a softball Q about what Wray has done to weed out the few “bad apples.”

Cornyn: 702 is an important tool.

“Is it possible to lawfully target a US citizen under 702?”

Wray: “It is expressly prohibited.”

Cornyn continues to prompt Wray to offer defense of 702. “Don’t you have to go to FISA court for approval?”
