If they put APeel on Honey Crisps I’ll be crushed. But I think they way the Honey Crisps are handled, it might not make sense. They are stored in an oxygen vacuum after harvest at low temperatures (42 degrees maybe) until they are ordered. The producers have teetered on market manipulation (false scarcity) due to this storage method.
The honeycrisps at our local grocery looked coated with something. Shiny and waxy looking. I spent 3x as much to get 4 locally grown and clean honeycrisps just for an apple pancake. You could tell the difference easily. Michigan - we grow them here.
